“Take Your Cat to the Vet Week” exists to remind cat owners of the importance of scheduling regular veterinary exams (The American Veterinary Medical Association recommends cats go to the vet twice a year for checkups). Consistent checkups can make a huge difference in the quality of life your cat experiences, and will help in preventing common ailments and diseases like rabies and distemper. The benefits of regular examinations also extend to the cat owner, as time and money is saved by identifying diseases early on and working to prevent health issues before they progress to later stages. With more and more cat owners participating in the event each year, we are encouraging you to pledge that you will make an appointment for your cat this week! Write to us in the comments section and tell us how you’re going to make a difference in your cat’s nine lives today.
